Bishop Speechly College for Advanced Studies was established in 2006 on the verdant, serene Buchanan Campus that houses Buchanan Institution for Girls High School, Bishop Speechly Vidyapeeth, Buchanan Teacher’s Training Institute and related institutions, with the noble vision of transforming life through education with commitment to service and focus on sustainable development. From its humble origins, the institution has gracefully expanded itself as a reputed centre of higher education affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University with three undergraduate and two postgraduate programmes.  The National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, Government of India, declared this college as a Minority Educational Institution covered under Article 30 of the Constitution of India on 8 February 2010. The college has accomplished exemplary academic growth and is determined to make a giant leap forward in the area of higher education.
